Mr. Kiji: AOL Artists Baltimore Office 8 Hour Mural Time Lapse March 2011
When AOL approached me I knew they’d be filming a time lapse. I used the time constraint as the base variable in my approach to designing my process. It forced me to implement a process that worked within the time constraint but also led to a reveal in the time lapse. Unlike other time and process driven mural exercises this one was totally planned before hand. My hope was to execute the plan within 8 hours. I think I was within the 15 minute mark of that goal. I felt it was very satisfying to plan based on a set amount of time and execute within the tolerances of a time constraint I defined prior to the execution. Overall it was an interesting process and I hope to expand on it again someday.
